Chelsea go into Thursday night's second leg of the UEFA Conference League with a 2-1 aggregate lead over opposition FC Copenhagen. The side from Denmark’s capital will now meet Chelsea at Stamford Bridge as both sides look to go through to the quarter finals of the competition.
The Blues have played once since their last Conference League fixture – resulting in a 1-0 win over Leicester City in the Premier League where they are currently in fourth place in the table. Copenhagen drew in their last match – a 1-1 draw against Sonderjyske – and the club are second in the Danish Superliga.
Enzo Maresca completed his pre-match press conference on Wednesday – giving an intriguing preview of the tie: “I was surprised, as I said last week because I watched many games, they were off the ball always defending with a line of four and then against us, they were in a line of five. Even in their game two days ago, they were again a line of four.
"The reason why we were a little bit surprised was because of that, but then we tried to adapt. Tomorrow, to be honest, I do not know if they are going to be in one way or another way. We will see tomorrow."
