Estevao Willian has responded to his stunning goal in Brazil's Campeonato Paulista.
Chelsea signed Estevao from Palmeiras in the summer, settling on an initial £29million deal, which includes performance-based add-ons, before loaning him back to the Brazilian outfit. Estevao has made 57 appearances for Palmeiras, netting 20 goals and providing 10 assists across all competitions.
And the 17-year-old scored a brace, including a stunning goal from outside the box, during Palmeiras' 3-0 win at São Bernardo on Sunday. Estevao's performance has played a key role in his team reaching the Paulista semi-finals, which will be played next weekend.
Estevao has now sent a message on social media in response to his fantastic performance against Palmeiras.
"Just thank God for everything he does in my life, all honor and glory be given to God," he said on Instagram, followed by a praying and red love heart emoji.
Estevao will be hoping to earn some game time under Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca when he returns to Stamford Bridge this summer. The winger will turn 18 in April.
His performances in Brazil have been hard to ignore, having won the ESPN Brasileirão Player of the Season award, making him the youngest winner since Neymar in 2011. Estevao was also named 'Best Forward'.
Speaking in July, manager Ceni said: "A special player, just like we saw Lucas [Beraldo] emerge at Sao Paulo and Neymar at Santos. He's very talented despite the young age and made good decisions during the game. He has everything to become one of the greatest in the world of football."
